I had a great weekend at Stuttgart Supercross with Sturm Racing. We got to the stadium around 4pm on Thursday, walked the track , it looked fantastic , some good rythem sections, a big 80 ft triple and some gnarly whoops .

The team arrived around 6pm , we met up with my new team mates for the weekend, Austin Pollitelli, Matt Boni,  Matt Goerke from the usa and also Tobias Elmer from switzerland, and also the sturm family, Robert, Robbie, Josef and connie.

We fixed the bikes up with all the new graphics, and got all our new kit etc things were looking good. I was first out on the track friday morning, a little nervous, riding for the first time with all the top euro SX riders and a couple of yanks too !! I didnt make the cut in timed qualifying, so went into heat race 1, i needed a top 4 finish to get in the main event on the night. I got a bad start from the outside but got stuck in, James dunn was also in my heat . We had a battle for a couple of laps, and James went down hard in the whoops . I was also struggling with the whoops ( i need to practice much more after watching Austin Pollitelli go through them ) !!! At the finish i ended up 6th just behind 5th place guy, but didnt make the main, i was dissapointed, but for my first real Supercross on a 250, dad thought id done ok, Plus we had another day to come on Saturday.

Robert Sturm brought me some full blown Factory Connection Supercross suspension for Saturday, we fitted it and set it up , it was way harder than id had before, i couldnt wait untill saturday to give it a go . We watched the other team riders in their races on friday night, Matt Gorke won the SX1 main, Matt Boni was going well but made a couple of mistakes, Austin Pollitelli was going great with a 3rd in race 1, and then took a big dive in the whoops in race 2, which finished his weekend.
Saturday morning, new SX Suspension !!! Felt awesome, Gary from GTS suspension (matt gorkes suspension guy) came to track side to watch my set up, it was much better, even having cased the big triple on lap 1 !!!! Same as friday, I didnt cut it in timed training, went into my qualifier, was running 5th just behind the 4th place guy, i was pushing harder through the whoops this time, with the suspension encouraging me and all the Sturm Team cheering me on, I bailed in the whoops !!! it put me out in last place, so I did a big no footer over the line for the crowd !!! Nice .. It was an eventfull weekend, I learnt where i need to be for next time, faster through those goddam whoops.  Matt Gorke won the final in SX1 again , a great rider. Matt Boni had a big Crash in the whoops the same place as me , but around 30mph faster !!! and he didnt know what day it was, he was going for it !!! Thanks to the whole team for a great weekend and cant wait for Chemnitz in 2 weeks time.
